Results of repair work: good

One of my cameras came back home yesterday.

The repair note says that they replaced the CCD assembly.
(does that mean I got a new sensor?)

I looked at the new shutter count in PhotoMe and it reads 21 shots!

And it also shows Model Revision 8.2

My AF is faster, and I'm thinking it's more accurate, but I cant really compare it to my other K10D because the SDM on that one has failed.....and needs to go off to the shop. 8(

How long did Pentax had your camera? Pentax have had my camera for a month now and they charge me $287 for the repair.

i have had that camera since 4/27/08

i had broken off the hotshoe, so i sent it in. it took the normal three weeks for turnaround.
cost: 250

but when it came back, it would only deliver black pictures.....

so when you have to send it back again like that, they call it a 'rework' and it gets bumped to the front of the line....
so it was pretty fast this time...
