I don't have time to do an audit, but I don't believe this list is fully accurate. I have a complete set on my other computer, but it is time for bed here.

thank you very much uttam hathi !
I will try this Debug-Mode on my K-5 very soon !

do you know if there is a way to increase Long-Exposure of Pentax Q, Q7, Q10, etc...
from 30 seconds up to 60 or 120 seconds ?.. or even more ?
3x M27 Dumbbell pics from Pentax Q10 :
www.pentaxforums.com/forums/136-pentax-q/212387-astro-q-club-10.html#post2935714

these ILCs would be " true Killers " in Astrophotography of Small & Tiny objects from Deep-Sky...
their Sony Back-Side-Illuminated CMos sensors are from 1,9 up to 2,8 times more efficient than usual CMos
of course from 1,9 up to 2,8 times more efficient than usual CMos per unity of area !

but the 30 seconds limitation actually forces to set ISO 1600,
which is not the straight way to get the best IQ...

@geo444
I don't know whether a hack could enable it, but I think many of the 3rd party remote timers do offer this possibility.

@uttam.hathi
A complete list should also add information, what to do during switching on.
This is different for the Pentax DSLR series,

For the KM/K2000 you mentioned the pressing of the DELETE button.
For the K200D, the SD card door must be open instead (can be closed immediately after switching on).

my attempt is to aggregate modset, if any one has any additional to the ones i have may i request to repost with all together so that when one needs it can just look at one place
i will do this periodically of course it will not be audited as i will and may not have all those bodies to test, request if someone test it and works pls do state.

not sure what you mean exactly ?

- Bulb-Mode is also limited to 30 seconds !
- Multi-Exposure Mode outputs a JPEG file, not a RAW
- PKTether doesn't work for Qs... just for DLSRs
- No Remote-Timer control port on Pentax Q, Q10, Q7, Qs1, etc...
- even the IR Remote-Timer doesn't work in Bulb-Mode !

so what ?...

Sorry, I read your post not accurately enough, so I guessed you were speaking about your K-5.
And with my K200D and *istDS, exposure time in B setting is only limited by battery status (and maybe overheating of the CCD sensor).

@uttam.hathi
I also have a *istDS, and for this initiating debug is built-in, no need for a modset file.
But starting the debug mode is more complicated:

During switch on, press the AEL-L and INFO buttons at the same time.
After that, you have approximately 5 seconds to press the MENU button twice, then the INFO button.
Voilá!
Edit: You now see the debug menu, the cursor positioned on the first item DEBUG <OFF>. Change it to <ON>.
To cancel debug mode, start the camera the same way, but now confirm the "DEBUG <OFF>".

Longer exposure times would be very nice but I wonder about overheating.

Yes, it would be better to stack.

No Over-Heating during Astrophotography !
only Regulators & Timers at work

these small ILCs are made to shoot Long Movies @ 30 fps in the hot hands of the operator => 40°C

no worry they could reach such High Temperatures shooting Astro-photos !

a night in August, I shot a 10s Auto just after the 30s :
www.pentaxforums.com/forums/136-pentax-q/212387-astro-q-club-10.html#post2939126
... and the internal Camera Temp was...
the same than Ambiant
= 24 °C !

each time, the tiny battery lasted all the night long !

I'm a bit interested in all this stuff. The idea of taking my own photograph of a nebula blows my mind. Is there a primer somewhere; a very step by step, "I am a bear of very little brain.", type primer?

There are a couple of threads on this site. I too have been wanting to give it a try, but have been stymied by clouds and/or super moon as of late.
