I agree - but there must be something
fundamentally lacking in Ricoh's marketing approach in the USA. No matter how hard they try (and they
are doing better), not matter how well-spec'ed and how good the product, they just don't seem to get traction outside the pure Pentax enthusiast segment.
It's as if there would be a '
No Pentax' clause in the CaNikon Dealer Agreements and Box Store delivery contracts.
There's a part of me that wonders whether Ricoh Japan actually
wants volume sales in the USA at this time - as if they don't have the capacity to supply success in the USA, EU
and the Pacific Basin and don't want to build it.
