I understand that this type of effect might not be everyones cup of tea, that's fine, but I happen to like it. I used a Cokin graduated soft edge pink filter for the sky and a graduated green soft edge for the field. Stacked in the holder mounted on a Tamron lens on my K20D.

I recently bought a 24 filter set and will be experimenting for the next few years!

My Samsung GX20 current shutter count is close to 50 000. As it's twin the K20D It is showing it's age with sluggish AF and poor high ISO capabilities but all in all it is a fantastic camera that has never failed me once. Though it didn't really like shooting at -31C, but that is OK in my book. All the moments this camera has captured just buggles the mind. The birth of both my children, distant galaxies, comets, sandy beaches in South America, the frozen arctic tundra a serious of portraits of my father before he passed away. When it eventualy dies it will be replaced with a Pentax DLSR. But I will always keep this camera as a memory.
I don't fancy the mirrorless route and I'd like to keep using the second hand K-mount primes I've collected over the years.

Abandoned theater. Glad to see I'm not the only one still using the K20. Great camea, just with the iso range was better.

To me, ISO range is a bit overrated.

I just use my flash more than people with newer cameras (and I use primes).

I'll jump in the K20D boat, even though I just recently bought a new K3, but my K20D is still like new, still being used and still going strong.

Thank you... the feathered guy really gave me a workout. He wouldn't stop moving his head! This is one of about 20 frames shot (available light), so I had to push the K20D to ISO 800, even knowing it does not behave well there. Anyway, final results speak for themselves!

Having updated my main Pentax body to a K-3 (from a K100D) I decided to get a backup body. I owned a K20D years ago, and looking through some recent photos, decided I wanted that camera again. Then an auction came along, with the 18-250mm Pentax lens... so, I'm back in the K20D camp. The lens is fine optically but rather worn looking. I am debating selling it but the cosmetics would probably result in a low price.

Thats the same setup I started with and still use at times. Its an amazing package, i've taken great shots with it. Mainly superb portaits. I'm curious why pictures have a special look from that lens.

Yes, it may be harder to part with than to sell, if that makes sense.
