I have Wasabi batteries and they are quite good.

I would personally have gone for the K5 as well - it's the top LCD which I rely on in the bright sun. That makes life much easier.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Wasabi batteries. I have a pair for my Q and they're very good. I did buy a cheap replacement battery for the K5 and it's dead. It only got charged a couple of times and it's crap. I sprung for a Pentax-labelled spare, it's always good to have at least two.

The instructions, as do all electronics, tell you to fully charge before using. The batteries are shipped with a little charge, but not much. The K-01 uses the same battery, I think.

You'll have a lot of fun learning the camera, I'm sure.

That's just K3. You have no filter at all on the K5IIs.
From what I've read it's almost never a problem. You could certainly find situations where you know you'll get moire, but even then you might be able to fix it in post processing.

I've got around 30K shots on my k5iis and I've only found moire in a handful of images. It'll depend a lot on what you shoot. If you spend a lot of time shooting fabrics, or things with fine repeating patterns then you are going to see moire. Otherwise it'll be basically a non-issue.

Interestingly, there have been a number of times where the display on the back of the camera has appeared to show moire in a shot but it is almost never there in the full size images.

Hello. I am Pentaxian about 4 years. I have K-x and we have done 60k photos... Great time! And now it is time for my K-x to move in my GF hands and i need better camera. I dont want K-3, i saw in test that k5iis has actually better ISO sensitivity due to smaller pixel/sensor ratio and i don't need it for larger prints.

I need camera with better AF in low light and i need focus dots in viewfinder.

Money is not problem, i can buy k5iis. What is bothering me?

Does k5ii s have muted colors in jpg (i shot i jpg 60%) and can that be fixed via custom image ? Which jpg engine is better ? WB? And which AF is better for low light ? What about ISO ? I know k5 iis has no AA filter and pics are crazy sharp and yes I am pixel peeper

Push me - what should i do ?
I have a K-50 and it is a great camera however I'm already finding its limitations, if money is no object I would definitely go with the K-5iis or the K-3.
