Is there anybody out there who, like me, is left eye dominant? Do you have a problem, while using the viewfinder, of being able to reach the AFbutton or thr 4-way navigation buttons to change the point of focus etc. etc... If you do find this to be a problem, have you found a way round it? Got me beat!!!

I'm a left-eye. Its a tight fit to do back-button AF on the K-50, but I have never poked myself in the eye. Adding an O-ME53 VF-magnifier gives me a tiny bit more space.
Honestly, this was one of my reasons for buying a K-3.

I'm Left eye and i have never noticed a problem. Maybe my big nose gives my skinny fingers some space

Yea, I reckon it's my big snoz-box that's causing half my problem. Does the magnifier fit my K5 11s???

Left eye here, but no problems with buttons while taking a photo. But I wear glasses. *That* causes loads of problems with not being able to see into the viewfinder well on bright days though.

Its worse with glasses on I think. I'm a left eye, and the buttons aren't a problem. Its the glasses that bothers me.

I sold my K-7 due in part to the left-eye issue, I was really frustrated. I later retrained myself to use the right eye - yes this lefty 'sold out' for a K-5 (and now the IIs) which is a pretty good reason The only other real option is live view or tilt-EVF, neither of which is my preferred method.

I've used my left eye...always. Never had an issue on the K100D or K-5IIs. I just tried using my right eye. Man, that felt WEIRD!

I'm left eye dominant, but I shoot using my right eye. I have my viewfinder adjusted to my right when wearing my glasses. I am right handed, so despite being left eye dominant, I use my right eye for most aiming related tasks (photography, paintball, etc...). If you're just checking to see if the target is within frame, you can keep both eyes open while looking through the viewfinder, but it is probably better to close one eye when doing focus adjustment.

I've always preferred left-eye since film days, though I'm right-handed. Only got my first DSLR late 2011 and the rear screen / nose-print issue has me learning to go right-eye (not entirely successfully).

Left eye shooter here.
Biggest problem for me is navigating the 4-way controller (and sometimes pressing the WB button on the K-5/K-3 with my snout) whilst keeping my eye in the viewfinder. And the green button placement on the K-5/K-3 is a big hassle too for left eye shooters. Unlike the K-x, where it sits nicely out of the way up top of the camera.

No easy solutions, alas, that I've come across. O-ME53 and other magnifying eyepieces get your face away from the back of the camera a bit, but have usability issues of their own.

Other camera brands have different rear layouts that are more friendly to left-eye shooters, so that is always an option, of course.
