debbie doesn't appear to be the most regular poster, and she might not be a lurker either.

If I was in your shoes I'd send her a Private Message, asking her for an update.

hello!!
well, its working out fine with the new one. The problem seems to be gone, so far...
I read in another post here about some banding similar to mine that the firmware update fixed a bit of it.
but you have to find the post yourself...to lazy, and watching the sweden-russia soccer match at the moment....

Although the pics are fine on the Kingston card, I'd not use it for such a powerful camera as a K20D. I find them to be ticking time bombs until they corrupt, but hey, maybe you have a good copy.

If I were you I'd get a Sandisk Ultra or Extreme card, they are warrantied, have great write speeds (the Extreme is very fast!!) and come w/ recovery software. Best prices on newegg.com. Other brands would be Lexar/Toshiba.. everything else is garbage. Trust me, I've tried them.

It was not the SD card, I am still using the same one in the new k20 and it works fine. But I have not got any answers form the reseller what the problem could have been.

by the way, Russia totally ruled yesterday. We´re out of the Euro 2008 now.

I have been having the same problem with banding. Normally in colder weather. If am bracketing I only have the banding on the first exposure, rather odd. I worked with one banding photo and found that when enlarging the photo the banding would show up with quick enlargement and not when enlarging slowly, really odd. Also at different stages in the enlargement the banding would just go away. I am getting really confused with this issue, I am shooting mostly in JPEG. Camera is over a year old so don't want to send it back to Pentax, almost better to purchase a new camera. Still working on the concern, will purchase a new card and give that a try as notied in previous posts.
