I spotted a Pentax in a store!

This is the first time I've ever seen a Pentax DLSR in a store. I spotted it at the Target in Columbus IN.

That is great - I hope that they sell a ton of them. I was actually thinking of going by Target this weekend to pick up a couple of things. I should take a look.

Unfortunately, more people probably buy that Canon than even look at the K-50.

Last year Costco had the K-3 kit but I haven't looked to see what they offered this year.

I was in a local electronics store this morning where they have a K-500, K-50 and KS1 on display. I don't know how many they are selling, but at least they are out there for people to compare. By the way, I compared the hand holding ergo design of the K-50 and KS1. The K-50 is much nicer/easier to hold but he KS1 does have a mirrorless look to it which might help sales...time will tell.

That's cool, the white color should attract some buyers. Frys Electronics used to carry a limited selection of Pentax but I have not seen any since they blew out their Q's a year or two ago.

Yes, it is good to see that Ricoh is getting Pentax into retail stores. But then again according to the nattering nabobs of negativism Ricoh can't do anything right and would be better served spending their money on booths in tradeshows.

Another nice stormtrooper, even if it's a K50!
It's a good thing that they put on display something they have an edge in (body color), and that can make them be noticed.
Even if it happens for the wrong reason...

Isn't it awesome to see Pentax and Ricoh branded cameras on display? It's like seeing your kids perform in a talent show or play at school and feeling proud of them!

My local camera store got a Q-S1 and K-S1 on display now. I have to check them out during my next visit.

It is good to see. I haven't seen a Pentax in a store since Ritz closed up several years ago.

I saw the WG-4 in an actual print ad recently. I don't recall for what store.

I check Costco regularly, there are no any signs of any Pentax there. None.
