Velvia for the K1OD?

After Brandon raved about Velvia.....Well...What a nightmare! Here is what happened...

After I heard about the new Velvia, I rushed out to get a few rolls for my K10D...I stuck a roll in the battery grip cause I couldn't find anywhere else to put the film in, so I figured, why not. But when I pressed the shutter on the battery pack the film wouldn't advance. I started to get really anxious. I started hyper ventilating. I was getting physically ill..I spent all this money on Velvia..Where do I put it? Here is the worst. I figured..."No that's not where I used to put film"..Yeeessssss I have to open the back, of course! So as I tried to find the switch to open the back, I realized of course not. It has to be behind the screen. Those smart guys at Pentax..trying to test me Eh??? I was right. After forcibly ripping out the screen I was actually able to jam 2 rolls of Velvia, two Oreo Cookies and a Valium the size of a Hockey puck with an extra Prozac just in case of low light conditions. Don't want to shake.

I took the camera to Pentax once I realized that the film wasn't advancing. They were very nice there. They sent me home with a letter to my therapist that I didn't have to go to work for a whole week.

And they (The Film) and the (Digital Information) lived happily in harmony ever after.

And Velveeta fits in the battery chamber better than Velvia, so thats a plus.

Good point, never thoought of that. Can I keep the Oreo's inside my zoom lens?

Fortia 50 would be an even better slide film to use. I bought several rolls to use in the film days and they are just sharp, punchy with fantastic colour.

Though this would be a limited edition only released in Japan. I bought 4 rolls of them costing heaps. Still sitting in my fridge...

I used one roll of them and they are just in deed amazing

so thats the secret..it's not about work flows and lighting, it's all about the cookie stuck in the lens....

I hear the double stuff variety make good filters. They sugar coat your images for some really sweet shots.

Well, I guess it's time to get over with film/slides (like I had to, after having been shooting with Provia for over 2 years)
