I am too, but to be fair, most of my posts involved references to bacon, lutefisk and European pop stars.
a quite eclectic choice of topics, for sure.

On a plan - 36 month. Tomorrow they will decide... with a bit of luck I'll have it on Friday... or not.

On one hand.. I so wanted this camera since it came out. On the other hand... stupid. Stupid! The K-30 is good enough...

Did the same thing!!! I feel your pain!

That's quite a bad purchase

Now you have to buy an FA31, weld it to your K3, and (if you haven't so) get and weld an 18-135 to your K30. And you really won't have to buy another lens for life.

Unless you fancy the FA77.... or the 43.... and the 55... wait, you'll need a macro WR and one of those dreamy 1.2s.

Don't forget the PocketWizard triggers, lighting mods and stands and no less than 3 each of speedlights and Alien Bees. And battery grip.

And since we don't really encourage over-spending here, get a Manfrotto, instead of Gitzo

got a Ravelli and a cheap Hama (for one of my flash units) already. No need to spend money there.

Batteries... are too cheap to consider. But I am thinking about buying the 50mm F1.8. The Asahi Pentax M 50 1.7 is nice... but.. I would like to have a 50mm with autofocus too.

edit: it is on its way. Will probably arrive early next week. Too late for Weihnachtsmarkt photos. Maybe that is good.

Sorry to hear about that... Did the camera survive the drop?
Yes, a few scratches here and there but as far as I can tell everything is fine.

That means, Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest...

I am pretty nervous right now...

Maybe this thread needs some bacon, cheese, lutefisk, or bunnies with waffles on the head...

it has arrived.

Oh god! It is so small! And so beautiful! And so small! And... no usb cable? Seriously? Ricoh? No money for a 75cent item? That is weak.....

The buttons could be a tad bigger, for my paws.

Nice things come in small packages, the usb cable has shrunk and disappeared in thin air.
