Pentaxian's work in the Smithsonian!

I'm sure many of you already were aware, but I was super excited to see Pentax images in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum's photo award gallery. The images were taken by NPB Japan on a K5. This was such a relief for me to see after only seeing Canikon stuff on the gear and exposure tags for each image.

Do you have a link to the website? I don't seem to be able to find it. (maybe I'm missing something?) Thanks!

Wow! Art Wolfe, photographer of the year! I am a long-time fan of his.*

As for the Pentax shot, is "Diamond Fuji" the only one?

Steve

* Never a Pentax shooter, he has shot Olympus and Nikon in the past and most recently Canon.

I noticed the Pentax shots also. You should go see them if you live in Washington. The art and technology (if not moreso the latter than the former) of printing them is pretty spectacular. The post-processing is also top notch. But also -- and to me still the most important factor -- is "being there" with the camera, and all of the pictures embody that as well. I saw only one that I thought any photographer could have readily grabbed.

I was in the museum when I saw them and almost shouted out loud when I saw the Pentax tag.

It illustrates well how a talented photographer with a good eye can capture beautiful images using a $150.00 lens as well as a $900.00 lens.
