Which eye do you use? Just curious.

Simple poll-just curious. Which eye do you use and do you close the other eye? I'm left handed and use my left eye and most times leave both eyes open.

Usually left, sometimes right. I'm ambidextrous but write with my left hand FWIW.

I'm left handed, but I use my right eye to shoot. I used to be very right eye dominant, but now my right eye actually has worse vision.

Interesting question. I'm left-eye dominant and right-handed; however, I shoot--both cameras and pistols--with my right eye. Wonder what this means--if anything.

Right handed. Shoot using the right eye, but use my left eye when taking photos, that way I don't have to close my right eye (causing my left eye to squint) because the camera covers it.
The down side is the nose grease on the screen. lol

Right handed, left eyed. Right is closed in bright light.

I'm pretty sure I'm not that greasy. However, the screen tells another tale.

I write with my left hand, there are other things I only do with my right hand....

and I use my left eye... because it is the 'better' one. Which means that my right glass constantly brushes against my thumb... argh!

I remember this question came up like a month ago and I had never thought about it before. I use my left eye and consequently my beautiful nose leaves "noseprints" on my screen. I am right handed.

I use my left eye for cameras and right eye for firearms. I write left handed but am right armed and legged.

One thing that annoys me about the K-5 is that my nose hits the live view button at inopportune moments . . .

right handed, Use my left eye to shoot.

Likely because my left eye is 20/20 and my right eye is...... well..... not. Nearsighted with astigmatism. If i shot with my right eye, everything would come out blurry and i couldn't tell where AF was focusing.

I use both. I'm mostly right handed and left eye dominates. My trick is to use right eye as magnifier image from OVF and left gives natural view from surroundings. I've adapted this technic from shotgun shooting. If I need to really know what I'm targeting, I'll close my left eye.

I deal cards, cut bread and I use mouse and soldering iron with left hand and I write with right hand.

I wear contacts and do the monovision thing...right eye is for distance and left eye is for reading up close.

I have been using my left eye all my life but just recently switched to using my right eye.
The reason being is that with the dioptor adjusted for my left eye anyone using my camera cannot see the subject in focus.
Now that I switched to my right eye I no longer need to adjust the dioptor to correct my vision and I can hand the camera to anyone to use without it being specific to my eye....sound confusing....
