Need help with dust!

When I look through the viewfinder there is dust.

When I take a picture, there is no dust in the picture.

I've carefully wiped off the mirror and the Divided Matte screen.

From what I see (looking up at the screen from the lens mount), the dust is in between the divided matte screen and where I look through the viewfinder.

I have no idea how this happened, but can anyone tell me how to clean it?

Does the divided matte screen come off easily?

It would help if we knew what camera you are talking about. I know how to remove the focusing screen on the K10D/K20D to clean it , but the procedure might be different on the K100D/K110D.
