1/1/15 and the prices went up at 12:01

Checking Adorama and the price of the K-3 is now $896 with no mention of a grip included, the 55-300WR is now $446.95, and so on.

If you hurry you can still get the deal through Adorama on eBay for $796 and the $599 Canadian deal is still there - for now.

The $599 deal claimed it was valid until 1/7, so no surprises there.

True but it may end earlier than 1/7 if their stock is depleted before then.

And at that price, well I'd not tarry if I were considering it.

I noticed a similar oddity on the Sigma 10-20mm lens. It was $399 (claiming it was $80 off) on the B&H web site. Today, it's back up to $479 there, but at Sigma's web store it's still listed as $399 (with $80 off, of course).

Pentax DA 20-40 is still $677 at b&h until March 31, although adorama is now selling it for $897

I wasn't sure how firm the 12/31 date was at B&H so I bit the bullet and ordered a K3 at 10 pm New Year's Eve. Way less than I paid for my new K5 a few years back. Happy New Year all.

It seems it was definitely firm. Good decision in retrospect. Enjoy your new camera! Happy New Year.

LBA got the best of me this year.

I got the K3 w/grip
DA 50 1.8
DA 300*
1.4 HD converter
10-17 fisheye
Lightroom 5
And, a handful of SD cards

The 10-17 went back up in price also. I paid $399 for it. Now it's $546.

Nice haul. I got a Sigma 150-500, K-3 + Grip & Flucard, lens case for 150-500, sling bag, 4 SD cards, monopod, lens cleaning pens, spike feet for my tripod, and am waiting to hear whether I'll actually receive a 55-300WR lens. Prices during the week of Thanksgiving (and also until New Years) are typically the best of the entire year. It's the only time I can consistently recall seeing the Sigma's below $869 (I got mine for $769).

Sweet. Looks like we both did well.

Now all that's left is to go out and use it all.

Took the K-3, 150-500, & Fluecard out last night and shot the stars and moon. Very nice to have tethering and the LARGER screen on the iPad to MF the 150-500!

Got a link to the photos? If I had a tablet, or a smartphone big enough, i'd look into the Flu-card. It sounds like a tool worth having.

I've been out with my stuff twice so far.
