EV compensation is disabled in manual mode. I often use the green button and then the DOF exposure bars. It saves having to spin the eDial to get to the starting point most of the time.

Not on the K-5 it isn't. (And I'm assuming the K-5 II and K-3 allow it also?) It is disabled on the K-01, though, don't know about other models. That is actually a huge drawback of the K-01 for me because I use a lot of manual lenses.

You are correct it isn't disabled, it works as it normally would with manual lenses but differently using AF lenses in manual mode.
