The correct answer is "mix" - both systems are good and both have their strong and weak points.
FF will help Realtors, landscapers, Architecture types. Nice to have. Needs 50MP to compete in wildlife, birding, surveillance. And MUCH heavier costlier glass (1.5x as long)...

My K5 is showing it's age and I will likely be replacing it next year as it approaches the 5 year mark. Whether I buy the FF body is questionable right now. I use my telephotos a lot and take advantage of the APS-C crop factor much of the time. On the wide end, I have the DA 10-15 and DA 15 Limited. I will probably keep an APS-C body just to use those 2 lenses so will my second body be the FF? Maybe. Most of my glass is FF so lenses aren't an issue. Since I'm retired and only work part time, price will be a big consideration. I have always been very happy with what I have been shooting with. The current FF cameras are really bigger and heavier than I want to lug around. (I haven actually seen or handled the Sony FF mirrorless) The size of the Pentax FF will be another consideration. I have arthritis.

It's the only reason why I'm interested in FF. Before I switched to digital (and Pentax), I had a X700 with a few lenses. So if I go FF, it has to be something that can take the old Minolta MD glass.

The question is: what will Pentax do with APS-C? Will we see more "flagship" type models in this format? I'm sure I won't be able to afford the FF for some time, but I'm glad it exists -- I will get an FF eventually.

So you're stuck with the A7.

For now, that's indeed the option.

APSC for now. The format suits me better. Maybe I'll be interested in MILC FF later.

I didn't answer the poll because I honestly don't know, at least for the short term (1-2 years). Once the new FF is available I'm as likely to order one on any given day as not.

I'm just wondering what will happen to prices on used DA and DA* lenses. Will they go down as the Pentaxian Pros move into FF and start selling off their old gear?

Or will they only increase now that Pros from Cannikon can jump into the Pentax line and start playing around with our beloved toys?

Will the lenses that cover both APS-C and FF increase in value, but the APS-C lenses decline?

Exciting times to be a Pentaxian!
I don't see many jumping from Canon or Nikon to Pentax because of FF now being available. Both brands have FF already and if one is vested in a brand your not likely to jump ship. I think Pentax's entry into FF will avoid many jumping ship from this brand and perhaps offer a more complete line for new entrants into DSLR photography.

I'm sticking with APS-C. At least that way, I can blame the camera for all my mistakes.

As I can't see anything wrong with the photos my APSc cameras produce what would be the point of going FF?
What does seem odd is that all these FF fanatics must have been shooting ASPc for at least a decade and got along fine without FF.

I'm staying with my mix of APS-C and Q. Glad that those that want/need FF will have an option and appreciate that it will improve Pentax's standing and increase the chance of 3rd party support but just can't justify a FF camera when the K3 is a better camera than I am as a photographer.

FF for the sake of FF doesn't hold much appeal for me. I'm not into ultra-wide shots or razor-thin DoF. High-ISO performance is appealing, but... eh.

I'm actually in the process of divesting myself of some Pentax gear and running Pentax and Oly m43.
