I can't afford the switch to full frame and I don't know that I want to mess with the size and weight of full frame. I'll get by with my K-5 and K-5 IIs just fine. Perhaps I'll upgrade the K-5 to a K-3 if the body-only price drops enough.

APS-c for me

My K-5 takes pictures more than adequate for my (humble?) requirements.

A K-3 would be the bees-knees and probably much more than adequate if I wanted to upgrade.

Since I'm strictly amateur, I'd rather invest $$$ in more Pentax glass... which I think gives me better returns on photo quality then a FF body at the moment.

Just my opinion.
And like many I will happily retract all the above when/if I change my mind...

I have given up on economizing. I will probably get both the K-50 / K-S1 mashup (the K-S2) and the FF. This is in spite of having the K-3, K-30, K-01, Q7, and Q. My only problem will be deciding to which museum to will my Pentax collection, as no one in my family has a clue about photography.

Sounds like the new FF is made with you in mind.
Yes it feels that way. I really do appreciate what Ricoh is doing for the Pentax brand. When I heard that the deal with Hoya excluded the medical immaging component of Pentax, I got a really good feeling about the future.

I'm highly unlikely to go full frame; it's a big "So what?" to me. If I win the lottery I may consider it, but then again I might just get two K-3 bodies instead. If I don't win the lottery then I will certainly stay with Pentax APS-C cameras for the foreseeable future.

APS-C for digital. For FF I'll stick with film.

I would definitely use both.
The 43ltd with FF is a match made in heaven! At the same time I love my little lenses like the 21ltd and the 50-135 on crop is just so much more sensible than a 2kg 70-200/2.8 on FF. Other than getting more FA Ltds to use on both, a top notch 24-70 would replace my 16-50.

I'm sticking with APS-C for a long while. I'm pretty happy with that I'm able to get out of my K-50. I'll eventually move over to a higher end APS-C body later on. Like when Pentax starts blowing out the K-3 to replace it with a newer model or the model after that new model being blown out to be replaced with an even newer model. That's when I usually buy. That probably didn't make sense.

Full Frame is still too expensive. Lenses cost more. Bodies cost more. I don't make a living through photography & I don't have that much money to blow on my photography hobby. I have other hobbies too like being a gear head, traveling, & junk.

I am content with the K-3. The two new lenses are interesting, however! Esp the 70-200.

Me, for the next couple of years. Simply because I'm a poor university student who already sold his soul for the K3 and doesn't have another one to offer for a FF.

If they make a FF K-01 then I'm in for FF only.

When I got into SLR I started with a Canon crop, then eventually FF 5D. I loved the image quality and lack of noise of the FF, but disliked the size, weight, and cost of quality lens. I did some research, sold all my Canon stuff and switched to Pentax K-5 II and lens. I might change to the K-3, but that's it.
