What we have is a new flavour , or is that an old flavour that's been missing for a while .
Im not jumping ship yet , first things first . If FF is going to be $$ seriously on the high side , then it can sizzle on the back burner ...

APS-C is fine for me. Looking at getting a K3 in the next few months. Just holding off a month or two, to see if maybe a K3 upgrade is released. (K3-ll, K2)

I'd have to see the specs first but assuming I can raise the funds, I would consider the ff as a backup to the 645d.

I have no desire for a big clunker of a FF DSLR camera that I would hesitate to carry around all the time due to its weight, size, and huge replacement cost- all for a dubious amount of improved IQ. That said, should Ricoh decide to develop a compact, lightweight FF EVF body with the same sensor, I'd stand in line for that.

Yep the K-5iis will see me out. Just had a wrist fusion so not looking for more weight
I like the reach of the crop and have the sigma 8-16 if need be.
Though some sod did mention the F*300 is very good on FF

I already shoot a mix of APS-C, FX and 645 cameras, APS-C being the smallest format I have ever worked with commercially. I use APS-C mostly for macro and telephoto work.

Well with the future ff having option to crop I'm going to say I'd use both.

I'm already shooting FF and APS-C and find the two nicely compatible. The K3 is outstanding for telephoto and general daylight shooting....great colour and resolution.

FF is great for low light, indoor/architecture work. I have some Zeiss glass that I can't replace with the Pentax mount but I am hoping this would change now that Pentax has a FF body presuming the high ISO will be the same. I'd rather stick with Pentax.....

I am really enjoying my K3 and would keep it if I brought the Pentax FF.

I have been thinking about jumping into a 645D for landscapes, but of course there is also glass to consider at that point too.

The Pentax FF may be the good compromise there, as I then I could use my wide K mount FF glass more effectively for landscapes. I remain interested but will wait for the specs and reviews before deciding. Having lenses that work well on both K3 and FF would be a definite advantage.

This man speaks wisdom. My own photography has a mix of different subjects from macro to sports. For me, FF would benefit some situations and APS-C would benefit others...

Exactly. A proper K-mount mirrorless FF yes, but a clunky big and heavy FF monster no.

But it is a good thing, hopefully I'll be able to sell all these cr*p old FF lenses at a profit. Any offers for a FF-ready Pentax A 35-105mm anyone ?

I will definitely get the FF.Will also keep the K-3 and exploit the benefits of both formats. All my lenses -with the exception of the DA*16-50 - are FF ready.
