I think the full-frame frenzy will leave many people disappointed after they rearrange their lens choices, perhaps spending a lot of money, to find the change did nothing to improve their photography.

Then having tasted from the holy Pentax grail and finding it unsatisfactory, they will migrate to other systems in frustration.

Or, they will find joy in a seemingly-new system.

The End.

A few years and a few thousand dollars later, they sell off their other system and buy a Pentax again. Then they make a new intro thread here and tell us their story about how they're glad to be back.

Yep. That is over a number of years, though. Hopefully it will be much longer in a couple weeks when all K-mount gets listed. There is one big meet-up later this month, first.

Some, not all. The workman must be worthy of his tools.

Talked to a friend of mine today, a nature & landscape shooter. Sells well and is totally serious about his gear. As long as I've known him he has been a Canon guy. But when the Nikon D800 came out with 36mp, he dumped his Canon gear and went Nikon because for him it was a big improvement. For me, maybe not, but he was at a point where the gear was actually limiting him. Not many, I think can say that. I certainly cannot.

So the Pentax FF will be a lot of fun for us that think it will help, and a great improvement to those for whom it will actually help.

Movie? Pixel Wars! A new hope! You will see Luke Pentawalker Fly his FF-fighter into battle and destroy the Canikon death star only to be betrayed by the evil hociR! Assuring that there will be a sequel!

I do not think Pentax is Doomed as long as they continue innovating and as long as loyal customers support them.
