I haven`t seen any Ricoh logo on cameras this time... anyway Ricoh is doing a great job , really, so no claim about that for me, they deserve "thanks" for their work

So nobody has checked to see if the K-S2 can take the AA battery adapter?

Hands on previews are saying it does not take AA, the slot is only large enough for the Li109.

Some image I shot today at CP+ event in Yokohama.
The FF was just a plastic prototype, no new details about it... all was focused over the new K-S2, a nice camera in my opinion
Thanks for the photos!

A full frame with flip-out screen just like Nikon D750 ! Awesome.

The button layout is almost the same as K-3 except the red LV/REC is gone for good.
Interesting, I had not noticed that before.

Where exactly do you see a flip-out screen ?
Certain angles show it better. Look from the rear left shoulder and you can see that the corner of the screen isn't really flush with the rest of the body.

From interviews they have said the FF will not have a pop-up flash. The shape of the pentaprism also suggest the same (if there was a flash it would be flat on top). Does anyone know if the new DA 18-50mm built is with hard plastic of metal or both?
Everything I've seen says/suggests/looks like mostly plastic.

Geez, there is no glass in the viewfinder and the rear LCD doesn't have an actual hinge. This thing really is a fake plastic mock-up, could have been printed on a 3D printer. The only thing this proves is that Ricoh is willing to advertise that they are working on a FF. We can't really interpret any of the implementation or features based on this.
I'm quite sure it was. But imagine if they had released D FA lenses, and were still mum regarding an upcoming FF body? Or had said "FF is coming" but with no mock-up? I think the block-o-plastic approach is fine, all things considered.

It's the same approach they took with the new FF lenses - as first seen, they were quite plain, but they did get people talking, so I guess Ricoh got what they wanted!

Nice flip-out screen on the FF, also, doesn't seem to have onboard flash.
Or is it ?

Normally flip out screens are counter sunk ala ks2 what if it's touch screen and removable for wireless remote use ?

Knowing the focal length you took your first shot with, I put a 50mm on my K-S1 and took a shot of my K-3 with the FA31 mounted. I tried to replicate the angle and framing as closely as I could hand held late in the evening after a few glasses of wine

Anyone who can be bothered should be able to put to bed any further debate about how the dimensions of this camera stack up against the K-3. My rough calculations suggest the distance between the two lugs for mounting the shoulder strap, and the height from the base to the top LCD are almost identical. I think the perceived size of the FF mock-up is due to the more vertical sides of the top of the mirror box and the size of the pentaprism.

I just hope it's more Df than D800 in terms of size and weight!

If my arithmetic is correct it is considerably smaller than the Df.

Of course, the closer to K-3 size, the better. (For me.)

Did anyone happen to measure the FF prototype or would they not let you get that close. Be nice if someone with a ruler could get some rough measurements.

the prototype at CP+ was inside a window show, not touchable .. for my eyes I think it is a bit taller than K3, but just my sensation through the window glasses

Quick video i found that shows the K-S2 in action

Very hard to judge the shutter sound level with the backround sound and no comparison...but doesn't it seem different from the "click" of the K-S1 ?
