Old Pentax lenses // K-S1

I just bought some old Pentax lenses (and camera).

Will the lenses mount on my K-S1?

Yes, they will mount and work just fine. You need to stop-down meter as described in this article:

They certainly will, but read this thread for more information about exposure settings.

Thanks. Will test it tomorrow.

It also came with a 42mm adapter, perfect for my Yashica 50mm f/1.9.

Looks like you hit the jackpot. Is that a set of extension tubes too?

Nice piece of kit. It is not everyday that you see a pristine black K-2.

I think the Yashica is an auto-only lens; if so, you need to do a bit of surgery on the Yashica or it will always shoot wide open. If I'm not mistaken, I have the same lens and started the process but lack of JIS screwdrivers has stopped the process (for now).

Thanks, I can now use the lenses on my K-S1.

First shot with K-S1 and 55mm f/1.8. Got some MF learning ahead.

Awesome! Glad that you got past that hurdle. With my K50 I struggle a bit with MF -Viewfinder ( PDAF focus confirmation ) and LiveView ( CDAF Focus peaking ) both give me good results at times but there are focus misses. I'm starting to consider focus bracketing as a hedge when I'm shooting MF. Honestly split screen replacement focusing screens are on my list of options as well.

Not sure how pristine it is, got some marks and scuffs around. But maybe not that bad.
