Focus Peaking K5ii

The general talk on the K5ii is there is no FP,sorry to disappoint users, but it works on my K5ii the firmware is 1.4 I havn`t worried about checking to see if there is any updates after this version

The serial No is 4605312,it is strange no one else has this feature,I don`t use it but it is there.

V 1.07 is latest firmware listed, that I see.

Perhaps you're thinking of live view?

Perhaps you can give detailed steps to use, enable, and disable this feature. If it is present on your camera, it undocumented. It is also not in the change log for available firmware updates.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the "blinkies" for blown highlights etc?

i know this would attract attention when I posted it,that is why it has taken so long to do it,let me explain what happens going into live view
there is a square box when the shutter is half pressed it expands and appears to focus as does my i phone and point and shoot camera.
I cant think of any reason for this to happen if it is not FP,if it is not let me know(and you will)

That's just magnification, not focus peaking. Focus peaking highlights the edges of objects that are in focus.

No peaking:

A handy video demo of focus-peaking at work [in the Fuji X100]:

It's a great feature of the K-3.

I was going to suggest the OP might be thinking of AF Autozoom, but it's not documented in the manual either.

This is how it's explained in the K-50 manual

The K5ll series works a little different. One does not have to pre select this by enabling a feature on or off in a menu for AF zooming in live view. One simply utilizes zooming when in Live View mode for AF or MF using the Info button. It will up to x6 magnification while in AF mode and up to x10 magnification in MF mode. This info is found on page 150 under Available Operations in the K5ll/lls manual. This is not to be confused with the menu selection for turning on or off the Preview magnification.

The OP may more than likely depressed the Info Button while he was in Live View enabling the zoom, thinking he turned on some sort of focus peaking.
