Replacing my ist D

As long as you get a good unit (very likely), you should have a great time with it. Just follow the instructions in the manual or online to enable classic lenses and you're set. I'd also recommend picking up the m42 to K lens adapter, as well as the AA battery adapter.

You made a great choice. I forgot to mention my sister gave me a Nikon D70s. Granted it is an older 6mp camera. It does take some good pics. But to do anything you have to get jiggy with the menu surfing. It's annoying and not intuitive.
