Update from Corel

Got a reply from Corel that said they could not say when new support would be available for the K10D, or any other Cameras not supported.

I also contacted Corel about this, and they began with a similar reply to yours, specifically it could take 1-2 years for a new release. I then challenged this by telling them that Adobe had already done an upgrade to include the K10D and that the response they gave was just encouragement to purchase Adobe products.

They have since that time, proposed that If I send them several photos, they will try to develop a patch.

I have the photo's ready, and while they have provided me with the link to their FTP site, they have not given me write access so that I can upload the files.

Corel now has images in PEF from the K10D plus the corresponding JPEG photos.

It will be interesting to see how long support takes

I use PSP-X and at first I wondered what the fuss was about. Then I realized, once I've loaded a JPEG into PSP I never read the EXIF data. I still have my RAW images so if I did need to check something I'd look at the RAW version. I suppose some day I may need the disk space and want to delete the PDfs... Naw, disk drives are cheap.

It would be nice if PSP could fix the bug for those who need to preserve all the data.
