Pixel Shifting Samples from Pentax on the K3II

Just saw these links on dpreview posted as (in Japanese) official samples. Can't read Japanese, but the images are amazing.

The clarity and lack of artifacts are impressive!

I don't know if it is my monitor causing eye "artifacts" but the first two pics (with the PS "ON") are scarily sharp !!

I am impressed with the sharpness, and tonal range of this new technology. Thanks for sharing...years from now, I will likely own the k-3 II or its successor, or FF.

Looking good but I need side by side comparisons.

Definitely impressive! But I'm more interested in average cases. We all know these promotional materials are the 1/10000 shots.

I kinda hope so. Hitting the road for the whole summer next week and somehow will have to have it shipped to wherever Im at when they fill the order.
Was playing with my K3 today and the Bower 14mm and have very high hopes for it also.

PS (Pixel Shift) on
If that pocket-watch is working, then (judging by the frozen second hand), the Pixel Shift technology is clearly able to produce an image reasonably quickly.

you could use the 55 lens or 25 and crop as much as needed to simulate a 600 mm lens :-)

They look really good!

I clicked hovered over the "products" tab on the website after viewing the pictures, and noticed for the K-3 II and the K-s2 that it says they are weather "registant". Gotta love the pentax store.
