Infrared camera control from BEHIND camera?

Neither the K-S1 nor the K-S2 have rear IR ports. There was some confusion when the K-S2 specs were first announced here on PF as it said it had front and rear IR ports yet the photos do not show one on the rear of the camera. This was soon corrected on the webpage.

In addition both lack a jack for a wired remote. The lack of interval shooting through the menus, USB tethering or with a wired remote with interval timer was the deal killer on the K-S1 for me.

You can always use the FluCard or WiFi for remote triggering though.

And how do you connect it for that functionality to a camera that does not have a wired connection (K-r, K-x, ...)?
