K-30 Dynamic Range

Hi guys,

One month ago I acquired my second Pentax, a K-30, and I am impressed by its dynamic range !

here is an example of before/after processing

I have the K-50, which is the slightly upgraded version, and I have to agree. These cameras are absolutely amazing.

Also, great shot.

definitely, I was thinking about HDR photography but probably it is not necessary anymore for me, especially that I don't like particularely the HDR rendering. Lightroom made it much easier by allowing to control separately shadows and highlights ...

Which adjustments did you make in light room, if you don't mind me asking?

I put on purpose the snapshot with the adjustments in my first thread. Aside of that, I did some sharpening (70 gain 30 luminance) that's all

Nice photos, iss2012. Were those photos of Eiffel Tower and others on Flickr taken with the Sigma 17-70? Seems like a very sharp lens.

yes, all I am currently using exclusively the Sigma 17-70 contemporary. Although I do not have much experience with Pentax lenses, I found this lense very sharp. It is also very quite focusing. The only drawback maybe is its non constant aperture, but with the K-30 I can use up to 3200 ISO without problem.
