monochrome K-01

I have a K-01 converted to IR by one of the companies that does that.
The IR filter removes almost all traces of colour (there are various filters which
you can chose). So essentially I have a "monochrom" type camera (though
with infrared visuals!) for the cost of the K-01 and the conversion.
Less than $500!

I think the era of needing a dedicated B&W DSLR is over. Modern sensors are so good that the loss from the Bayer filter array is negligible. When I want B&W I can do a conversion in-camera (the Ricoh GR is great at this) or in software.

There are edge cases where a B&W sensor offers significant benefits but total sales will be low.

The only way I would buy one if it was something like 24bit, had large photosite sizes, a super fast processor and could also do amazing video.

A monochrome pseudo-rangefinder APSC with K-mount would appeal to me.
Add a monochrome EVF with rangefinder-style manual focusing and IR capabilities and I'm in for $500.

A 12 or 16MP B&W 16bit sensor would be great,Samsung is rumored to be working on one,but not sure if it ever sees the light

I'm an unreservedly YES
I've often said, take away the Bayer Filter on a K-30 and use all the pixels and you've got 48MP of sensor available!
