Look up the features and see what works best for you, the K-s1 is newer so it will have some newer technology, but it was also targeting a different user base, so few features were not included, but it is still an excellent camera. I have and love a k-50, weather resistance is very important to me so I would not buy a non WR camera as my only camera.

Think what types of shooting you will do and see what specs mean the most too you. You can take great and awful photos with either, meaning you have to learn to use whatever camera you get.

KS-1 is not WR only KS-2. KS family is for people who are more related with smartphones rather than photography,it has lots of fetures that makes more "comfortable" the sharing and set ups, but at the end sensor ISO, and speed are not the big thing for the price.

K-50 on the other hand is cheap and is WR so you can take pics under the rain, snow and not to worry on the beach. High ISO and good sensor for reasonable price.

I Thinks K50 Is good.

I looked at both and went with the K50. I just received it but am very impressed so far. Just seemed like the better camera for me. I also didn't like the thought of paying for lights I don't need or want.

Are you an absolute beginner? If not, go for the K-50.
