Apart from the low cost right now, the K-50 has three advantages:
Lighter weight, better performance at ISO 6400, and the ability to use AA batteries in the body.
For me, those advantages make the K-50 the camera of choice for carrying around, when compared with the current "flagships".

Having used a K-100D for a couple of years now, It seemed the right time to move up a step to the K-50, especially after seeing a body on Amazon.com for about the same price I paid for the K-100D used.

Since I'll be needing a WR lens, I also got:

One of the features I'm excited about is the AV capability - I don't know if that's a kosher subject to discuss here, but was wondering if audio is included?
Probably won't use it much, but it does come in handy - especially with Grand Kids around!

Can video be used with vintage manual lenses?

Downloaded the operation Manual in *.PDF from the RICOH site and printed out over 200 pages before the ink ran out, and still have another hundred pages or so to go.
It says "Read Operation Manual Before Using Camera"... over 300 pages?
