first shot in the 2000s should be an *ist D/DS

apart from that, i like it

EDIT: swap them around.

First shot, in 2004/5: grandpa composing a wonderful shot with the *ist DS

Second shot, in 2008: grandpa, with kids, pictures and bodies all over the place, with him mounting a DA* onto the K20D. Daughter with K100D super mounts an A50mm F1.2, and grandson (same age, and possibly actor, as the kid in the 1960s) mounts the same lens as was on the asahiflex)

Great changes.... maybe final shot should be grandpa, his daughter and grandson out composing that shot together...

Quick one

guy finishes shooting modelling portraits in studio with 645. model leave. crew leave

photographer looks around to see if anyone's around, then takes the 645 lenses home

At home, photographer puts 645 lens onto 645 to K-mount adapter (camera paying special attention to the fact that it's an official adapter), mounts onto K20D and shoots his family

Pentax: Lenses so good, pros use them (or something witty)

YouTube - [CM] PENTAX?????????????????????
Funny, I had the exact same idea. Second movie, third clip (desert):

Let the girl use a K20D, and let the old man hand over an old lens from his old Asahi for the girl shooting him with it. Pentaxians since 1950!

Pentax may build upon technical innovations. But just like Apple, they may play the "cult" card as well. Using Canikon is as boring as using PC

Another, not very subtle, ad playing the cult card:

Girlie band, photographers trench...

Girl: We have one backstage pass for a photographer

Girl looks around, sees a lot of Canikons, spots the Pentax, smiles.

Pentaxians since 1950!

if we're going for lenses, we've got 2 lenses that no one else has

Fisheye zooms. show off the DA10-17 fisheye.

(just got mine. loving it. all my DSLR friends get shocked when they hear that i'm using a fisheye zoom)

EDIT: just as a short stupid thought

at the bottom of ever commercial, it states what was used, so people can try it at home

say, the baseball one, in small font: Pentax H1A, Pentax Super Takumar 135mm, Pentax K20D, Pentax M42 to K mount

Even better, the pictures taken by the digitals in the ads are put up on the web. DNG + JPEG.

I know it sounds stupid, but i like the idea of going "did they really do that with that camera? *checks* Holy crap, that's awesome"

There's a Nikon a Canon and a Pentax sitting on a white glossy table with a white background. All the cameras are facing the viewer.

Camera zooms into the innards of the Nikon lens...fade to black...a series of great photos are shown. Fade back to original scene

Announcer's voice = All these great cameras can take wonderful pictures to capture your life's memories. Pentax, however, does it at half the price...

Nikon and Canon cameras flashes pop up in surprise. They swivel to face the Pentax...and their lenses begin to extend as if they are taking a closer look at the Pentax.

Fade to black
PENTAX in large red lettering.
- end.

why not just show an old person taking his lens off a K1000 (it's the icon so why not) and putting it on a K20D

the caption is "Don't you wish you could just snap on a new body too!"

Pretty good! Now, if we could just get the adapters for ourselves. They are as rare as hen's teeth.
