Sometimes resolution is worth it!

K20D with TAMRON AF 90mm f/2.8 Di SP macro. I am allergic to bees, so I stood back and cropped. Hmmm, k20D may have saved me a trip to the hospital

Those are great shots!
I really wish you fiendish people would stop posting amazing crops from K20D -- I have the urge to sell off my K200D just to get the K20D's resolution (and viewfinder..and lens dial ins..and advance controls)

Oh, and believe it or not, those bees aren't going to sting you unless you step on them or swat at them -- they're more interested in the nectar

I know the feeling though - I've had a reaction to a wasp sting, though I think it's because I was very young. I was given a shot kit in case of future stings - you might check with your doctor to carry one around, they should be very inexpensive and could save your life!

Fantastic--I can't wait to get my Tamron 90mm hooked up with my K20.

Regards,

Bumblebees are not aggressive and will only sting if they are trampled on or defending themselves against some other danger. My first beesting was from a bumblebee as a 4-year old but I deserved it since I tried to squeeze it in one of my Grandmother's front garden poppies. It hurt like hell but it was a good lesson.

Yes, yes indeed! Thanks for sharing these and showing off the K20D's (and your own) capabilities!

I love bumble bees! They're my most favorite of all bees.. a good candidate for macro since they seem to fly kind of slow. Even if anyone is allergic we should all be worried for them in the U.S. since they are disappearing and we need them!
