I love my K-x... And it has program shift, so that compensates for not having HyperP with twin dials...
Oh and images from the 12.4Mp CMOS EXMOR is stunning, even at high ISO... Best entry level Pentax ever done. Still.

Agreed....the K-x is/was a fantastic camera for me too. I know my son is rolling with a better camera than most people. I do love my K-30 and am patiently waiting for the K3II or K3 to drop...nobody can tell me if the K3II is worth stepping up from the K3

Yep am taking new directions here as we have the First Pentax *istD DSLR camera with a a Sigma18-50mm 1:3.5-5.6 DC Lens

And having just bought MORE AA Rechargeable batteries - Decided to give this a whirl and having the ability to use Older/Newer Pentax Cameras

Cheers for Years

I had a Ist DS2 then ,and still have, a KX. I went through the rechargeable AA battery path with nicads and Nimh but went back to the Everyready lithiums that came with the KX as a sample. Just change them once a year and never have to worry or keep a freshly charged extra set with me. They would often go more than a year.

Feel that the K-30 & or the K-50 may just be a pipe dream right now

Cheers for years

K-50 body under $300 on Amazon brand new. You can apply for a CC card with them and they have good "X" months with 0% interest. I just bought my K-3 through them. That baby is a gem. I also have a K-x, and K-30 (same as K-50). Both are great cameras, but can't beat the WR for the K-30/K-50. Just my two cents.
