K20D AF speed and other questions

Hi folks,

I'm curious to know how much the AF speed has improved on the K20D from the K10D (which I owned in the past, but found limiting in that regard). In particular, I'd like to hear from those of you using the Limited lenses like the 31, 43 & 77. I know these lenses are designed more for MF, but I am curious to know if there has been any improvement in AF with these lenses and the K20D.

Do any of you have the DA 35 macro? Does that focus quickly? I know that many macro lenses aren't so fast with AF.

How about the DA 21 & DA 70?

I use the K20D mostly with a FA 31. The combination is faster than the K10D in that the K20D seems to hunt less in low light. The 77 is also like this (surprisingly, I haven't mounted my 43 on the K20D yet).

I also occasionally use the DA 35 macro. Being a macro, it isn't that fast to focus. But in combination with the K20D it's been just fine for me.

As a side note, do you like the DA 35? I've had a hard time finding any reviews on it.

The apparent faster K20D AF seems to be hit or miss depending on the user. I bought the K10 the 1st week they came out and I do see a difference... some people with later builds of the K10 don't see any at all.

I think, if you can. try out the K20 in the store and your K10 and see if you see a difference.
