I only know that Adam/Mo here had got that when it was released. That K10D got a golden Pentax label.

That is a nice looking camera, the seller states that the grips are dark brown! Does anyone know any info about this camera?

this image (from the net) shows the dark chocolate colour better.http://pds5.egloos.com/pds/200707/25/48/c0016248_05075125.jpg

Other than the colour, strap and logos, it's the same camera.

Yes. It's the limited "camera of the year" edition of the Pentax K10D. Comes with dark-brown rubber on the camera, golden inscriptions, and custom strap. Joy...

Gold accessories are of poor taste, IMO. (Trump's plane is a prime example)

In which case, I really must invite everyone round some time to admire the solid 18 carat gold taps & shower fittings in my bathroom suite........they're what I lovingly refer to as 'utterly lurid'........ho ho ho.....!!! Yet again, only kidding....lol !

Best regards
Richard

Speaking of limited edition Pentax cameras...

Here's the one I want. Its a special one-off that they did to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Pentax in 1957.

Pentax 50th Anniversary Asahi Pentax DSLR: Digital Photography Review

Its a standard K10D, with no built-in flash. The top deck has been replaced with a silver piece that takes its styling from the 1957 version. It looks a lot like a Spotmatic, as well.

If I had it, I'd probably sell it for A LOT of money and buy myself a standard LX with 50mm f/1.2. So no, I wouldn't like one.
