I have just ordered a KS2

and I'm absolutely giddy with excitement!

That's all, just needed to get that off my chest.

I'm enjoying mine. I wouldn't mind if it were a little smaller/lighter but it's good as-is too.

A great camera and I love mine. Only wish the grip being a little bigger and deeper, and shutter sound a little softer. Everything else is wonderful. I have K5IIs, K7, K20D and K10D, plus K-01.

I have often considered this as my next camera. I do love my K-5ii and the the ability to add the extra grip. I do think the articulating screen maybe the deciding factor. The only negative I see when compaired to the K-3 is 12bit raw rather than 14bit raw. I can't say that anyone will really see the difference tho.

If you take serious photos in RAW and PP them carefully before display, K5II or K3 is great (and you have K5II). I use KS2 for more relaxing photographing, in JPG most time. Small lenses such as 20-40, or just DA 21 or 50. I use KS2 as an alternative camera, not a replacement for K5II.

grahame how does it compare to the K-01?

K5 is my primary camera; I had a K-01 and loved it for video and live-view. But it really needed a viewfinder and/or tilt screen. I am hoping/wondering if the K-S2 is what I am looking for? Is live view any quicker or more convenient than the K5 implementation? Or does the mirror flop around all the time? I never understood why the mirror had to flip down and back up to take a shot in live view on the K5.

Oh my goodness! I just checked tracking numbers and it's going to be here TODAY! Ordered from BH Photo over the weekend, they were closed on Monday due to Yom Kippur, so apparently it was mailed yesterday and will get here today! Pictures to follow in this thread when it arrives. Man this is just like Christmas!

Congratulations! I'm so envious, as that's the camera I will be adding in a couple of months. Will be most interested to hear how you like it, and of course photos are a must!
