how much should a second hand k5iis be

The K-5 is still selling here new for $AU1150 / $US800
The K-5IIs is $AU1599 / $US1123

Bear in mind the shop in Switzerland has to resell your k5 and make a proffit so they buy at less than the market going rate for used goods,
Here in Bristol London camera exchange have two shops , they make no effort to hide that they look up average prices on eBay if you ask for a trade in ,then offer you less to allow for their margin on used goods resale

The K5iis is an awesome camera - worth keeping as a backup if you can afford having two bodies.

Better to keep , in the UK shops only offer about £450 and used selling on eBay you only get about £ 600 if your lucky.

After thinking, it seems like I should get better offer for my k5, at least in european market. Anyway, apart from the big 150-450, my other lenses are mainly the old pentax lenses where I usually focus manually. So with those, I won't get the advantages of the k3. While we are at it, I just got a pentax M 50mm 1.4 today, for just 25CHF from a photography flee market! I started to use it right away, and it is pure joy!
