Sometimes any choice you make is a good one......

I chose the K5iis because I got it new for less than the cost of a Toy Camera. Now they seem to be priced higher than the K3...if you can find one?

I also did not need or want the larger files in the K3. My computer will handle the larger files, and my new computer I am having built will most certainly do better, but I simply don't need larger files for what I do. The other consideration was that the K5iis is so similar to my old K5 that there is almost no learning curve. I'm like a cat.....I don't like too many changes and I do like to keep it simple. Am I happy with the K5iis? Thoroughly! Best Pentax I have ever owned!

Out of the choices given, any would be excellent. I'd find the best deal and bang for the buck and go with it!

Regards!

Yep, but the deal for K3 this year is soooo sweet! LIke a deal for K5iis last year, or even better. To get flash and 50mm with the K3 is very good deal! K3 ergonomics is good as well, and shutter release button is just like butter
I need to remind myself stay strong and wait for FF

Carol, I am just like a few months ago, mulling between a K-S2 and K-5ii's but then I decided to go with the latter ($350 used) as my budget restrict me so (and I still want that articulating screen! :P), but it is nice that you are now saving for the K-3, coming from a K10D sure everything will be groundbreaking for you. :P

Thank you, I'm really excited to get the K3! This is exceeding my budget also; that's why I have to sell one of my K10's before I can order the K3; but it will be worth it, I'm sure.

Congrats on your decision. It is well worth the wait. I know when I decided to get a k-3, I was going to have save for a while. I had a few set backs, but I kept on plugging away until it was finally mine.

Best of luck.

Congratulations Carol, now the waiting and anticipation. I was like a little kid on Christmas morning when I got mine.

It arrived that Friday, and I can't believe the images I'm getting from it, with no PP, except cropping when desired! It was well worth the wait, for sure!

Check out post #70; took this in bad light, handheld with the K3.
