That wasn't the only reason. It just added emotional justification and urgency to the already well-known shortfalls of K-mount (cost, professional lens and flash ecosystems, etc.) that I didn't see being rectified at an appropriate pace, especially compared to what already existed for the other mounts (and for cheaper).
With the recent announcement of Godox's XPRO-P trigger, that pro-grade flash issue ecosystem is no longer a shortfall.
Still lurking on occasion though
