Reverse reverse engineering?

Today there is another announcement of another probably great Sigma art lens that isn't available in K-Mount, but that is of course available in SA mount. I have a recollection of the SA mount being historically based on the K-mount. Is it possible that someone with the requisite skills could "jailbreak" or modify the mount on Pentax cams to accept SA mount lenses?

Assuming there is enough demand once the full frame is released, I'm sure Sigma will launch some of their existing lenses for Pentax.
