K20D price when first announced

Does anyone remember what was the price? I am thinking of upgrading. The best price I can get from the shop here in Aust. is AUD1239.00 . I wish I have a crystal ball! My heart says buy now, my brain says wait a little longer for the price to drop.

I think James (Roentarre) bought one in Melb around A$1,800.

Hi mate how r ya.I bought a K20D today for $1320 body only from Teds cameras at Erina on the central coast.They gave me a $39 discount on an 8gig Sand disk Extreme 111 sd card .I looked at alot of stores they were the cheapest i found.

Wow ... you actually went with the K20D ... I thought you might have gone with the K200D.
Will be looking forward to your images from that and your Sigma 100-300.
