I haven't actually tried any long exposure yet, but I verified that it works fine and so does the lock.
Turns out it's a DL-1480 (made for Canon) . But it works fine with the K200D.
I did some tests of long exposures last night with my K200D. On a recently charged set of Sanyo Eneloop batteries (2000 mAh), I was able to get 6 exposures for a total of 12400 seconds or 3.5 hours before the camera shut off (while I was asleep - the camera was in the living room). This was with the "slow shutter speed noise reduction" setting turned off.
One might be able to get a little bit longer than that with higher mAh batteries. The first set I tried was 2500 mAh batteries. Somehow the camera didn't even power up, so I switched to the Eneloops.
The battery grip would double the time also of course.
Since I got my MAHA C9000 battery charger last week, I have been analyzing all my AA batteries. The only ones that come close to their claims in terms of mAh are the Sanyo eneloops so far - between 1900 and 2000 mAh . The ones I got from the dealer without charging them were at about 1500.
The next two are one Lenmar and one Energizer 2500 that come in around 2280.
Then, I have some Ultralast 2600, bought last year, that only get 1600 ... Some noname 2000 mAh batteries that only get 900.
That charger is really an eye-opener. I am trying to cycle some batteries to see if they improve, but it's a slow process.
