Lens information

Hi,

I am kind of new to photography.

I have a K100D with 18-55mm & 70-200mm pentax lenes.

I want to find an all purpose lens.
I found a Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 auto focus zoom lens.

Can anyone give me some feedback on this lens?

Sorry if it is the wrong forum

read reviews of lenses at photozone. you want a 'super zoom', pentax just released a really good one.

A quick google check shows the price ranging from $1800 to $2500.

the da 18-250 seems to avg around $450usd. being IF (internal focus), filters are very easy to work with. a bonus if you're out and shooting....

Since the Tamron 18-250 LD Di II is the same lens and has a 6 year warranty and is a little cheaper I would go with the Tamron. and I did and am very happy with it. also since you have a pentax 18-55 you may want to consider the SMC Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED
