Interesting Comparison: Canon 1Ds Mkll vs Pentax K20D

This is dedicated to my dear friend RH.

Both shot at 100 iso and compressed 5/12 in PS3 to get in under the 1 mega maximum. Both using flash which enhances the contrast. Both shot at optimum aperture...etc etc etc.

RH, I don't get you sometimes. Benji has posted two photos. I used my two eyeballs to compare the two photos. No text required. (No comparison, either; guess which one won my comparison.)

But the two pictures are very different. How can you "use two eyeballs" to compare an apple to orange? May I guess? Left eye for the Canon pic and the right eyeball for the Pentax pic?

Your requests are appalling, RH. Pictures speak a thousand words. WHAT DO YOU NEED TEXT FOR?

Here, I'll include some text for you:
The Pentax K20D has greater image quality than a Canon 1Ds Mkll which is many times more expensive.

Thank You...Really.

Oh and RH, I am no longer sponsored by anyone. Oh and one more thing RH, I was recently contacted by one of the big 5 to come with them and I declined.

Enough said!

RH, please get serious if you want to be taken seriously. Both of my eyes were used in comparing both pictures. For my comparison, I considered subject matter, composition and perspective, lighting, color and textural rendition, and aesthetic appeal.

What do you look for when you examine or compare photographs? May I guess? "Canon" on the camera body that took the picture and "pixels"?

DO YOU know "ANYTHING" about capturing an image?

Listen Closely. Both shot with Studio Flash. Using High contrast bare bulb technique, thus very, very good contrast for IQ. Enhanced Highlights and Shadows using this technique. Both shot at optimal iso settings i.e. 100 iso. Both shot at Optimal aperture i.e. 2 to 3 stops down from "Wide Open" Three both shot with two very good lenses at their optimal settings. Four used a top of the line Minolta lV Flash meter perfectly calibrated before shooting. Five all shot in Adobe RVB and in RAW 16 bits and converted to JPEG for this posting.

Will that do for you?
