What to do?

I am a relative newbie to photography.

I have a Pentax K100D
18-55mm Pentax AF lens
70-200mm Pentax AF lens

I am wondering if I should trade my two lenses for an all in one lens that covers the same range.

I want the flexibility of a wide angle with the zoom capability without caring 2 or 3 lenses.

Sorry if this has been hashed already.

I appreciate your input.

Thanks

I take it that the 18-55 is the kit lens. Also what age/speed is the 70-200?

If you must go for an "all in one" lens, I would suggest the 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 as this will give you flexability. All this depends on the Speed of the 70-200. If if is a fixed fast aperature (say F2.8 or F4) then you are better of getting a better wide zoom, such as the 16-45 F4. However, if it is veriable aperature wide open, then the 18-250 would be a better bet as it would you give you better optics than you currently have.

Hope this helps.

The 70-200mm is a Pentax SMC-FA 1:4-5.6. It has a little age on it.
