what about mirror cleaning?

I have a large dust particle that's visible only in the viewfinder. Since it looks very sharp I guess it's on my K100's mirror (?). How easy is it to get rid of?

If its on the mirror, you should be able to see it there by looking into the front of the camera with the lens off.. Fairly easy to get rid of if you are careful.
But... If you don't see it on the mirror, it could be on the focussing screen, or even worse, behind it..

Thanks a lot Moo. I'll have a look.

Mount the camera facing downwards on a tripod, so that dirt falls out. Then use the pad only in one direction (don't go back and forth with the pad). I went into the bathroom with the shower on to remove dust from the air!
After you have done this a couple of time, a small speck of dust on an image does not seem so important any more...
