I haven't noticed that with my K20D, and I've upgraded the firmware. I'm happy with my 16-50, 50-135 and 200.

It does sound like you've got a camera body problem, though.

Thank you Russ

Good to know the problem is limited to my K20D (and not due to a firmware bug)

Good news, I just got a call from my shop, the K20D is back from Pentax Service. I will pick it up this afternoon and see if the problem is fixed. From the list of what Pentax Service has done on the K20D, I must say that I have my doubts that the problem is fixed:

- repaired and ajusted SR button (did not know that this button was faulty, and neither that there is something to adjust about it)

- reprogrammed the full camera from scratch with latest service program (I suppose they mean firmware)

- recalibrated the AF

- cleaning

- general checks

For me, when the AF goes into the wrong direction and stops with blinking AF indicator, it is not just a matter of recalibration.

But well, I will check in the shop if the problem is fixed. If it is not fixed, I will check how another K20D in the shop behaves in the same conditions.

The other real good news is that the Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 I ordered two months ago, arrived in the shop today and is waiting.

Hopefully I will be able to make the first test shots this evening.
