Cmos Power--k20

The more I use my K20, the more I come to appreciate the 14.7 MP CMOS sensor. I do not think a lot of people realize the advantage to this kind of sensor power. For example, the shot below is a crop, from a 6MP jpg, which represents less than a fourth of the area of the original image. Moreover, the shot has been shrunk to be forum friendly. There is no way I could capture these kinds of images with anything I was shooting prior to the K20. The sensor impresses me more now than it did after I researched it for a couple of months.

w Tamron 17-50mm, f2.8, 1/320th, iso 100, 47.5mm

Regards,

Ernest

You meant you shot at a low res 6M jpeg of your K20D but still got much room for cropping?

I shot at 6MP, highest (4 star) jpg quality and still had plenty of room for cropping.

I believe Pentax still uses CCDs on their DSLRs.

Nope. The K20D is CMOS.
