How can I prevent aperture wheel moving in P?

I like to shoot in P, and always inadvertently move the front wheel, causing aperture to be manually set. Often I forget to reset it with the green button and get some silly combination... Is there a way to disable that function while retaining all other P capabilities?

You can set the wheel's function in e-dial programming menu. Try P-Shift + EV compensation I think it's more friendly and you will have exposure compensation. You can turn off completly the e-dials also. P-Shift does not lock the aperture only shifts the program line.
