The K-50 has the same processor as the K-30, and the video features are the same. The K-30 also had composition adjustment, and its focusing screen is the same.

Everything else is correct.

Composition adjustment is really neat.
What does this setting do?

Composition adjustment can be used as above or just to reduce perspective distortion induced by angling the camera up.

Thanks for correcting this Adam. Shows why I shouldn't have relied on a third party review!

The rakish snout on the K-30's viewfinder can cause interference with fingers and focus rings., that's the biggest functional difference.
That's a good point, although personally I haven't had a problem with any of my lenses on the K-30, even those with a focus ring at the rear. I guess it depends on the lens and the fingers. It might also be more of an issue when the camera is held vertically.

Just one other small point about functionality. The "rakish snout" on the K-30 means a longer arm/cover for the pop-up flash. The pop-up flash probably rises a little higher than it does on the K-50 - which might provide slightly more clearance above large-diameter lenses. On the other hand, the Rogue Safari Flash Extender might not fit so easily on the K-30's pop-up flash. In an (excellent) thread about the Safari, Larry (@crewl1 ) reports,
"On the K-30 the flash cover is so long that you need to open the flash before attaching the Safari, and hook it over and then insert it to the hot shoe. If you try to open the flash with the Safari already on it bumps up against the bottom of the Safari."
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/22-pentax-camera-field-accessories/256288...-extender.html
The Safari might be easier to fit on a K-50 because of the shorter arm on the pop-up flash, although I haven't seen any reports about this.
